A disastrous second half saw Town slump to their worst defeat since the 4-1 defeat in the QPR game in late 1999. The Blues had gone ahead in the fourth minute when Marcus Stewart ended a superb move and Town could have gone two-up when the ball ended up in the net from a corner. This was disallowed and Julio Arca scored an equaliser from a freekick. It was the second half however that was the real horror show for George Burley. |

Devastating Town took a woeful Spurs side apart at Portman Road 3-0, but it could have been even more. Town took the lead through a Marcus Stewart goal in the 8th minute. Second half goals from Alun Armstrong and substitute Jamie Clapham sealed the result. But for a number of excellent saves from Neil Sullivan, the crossbar preventing James Scowcroft and a disallowed goal from Titus Bramble Town might have won by even more. |

Boxing Day brought one of the best games seen at Portman Road so far this season. Town allowed visitors Chelsea to gain a two-goal lead against the run of play before determinedly clawing back to draw 2-2. The Blues almost scraped a late win with the ball cleared off the line twice in injury time. |

The Blues marched to yet another famous victory as a superb Marcus Stewart goal won the day at Anfield. While it was backs to the wall at times, it was another huge performance showing spirit aplenty as well as some lovely passing. |
